Compass Mining is pleased to provide the following facility updates for April 10, 2023.

Please note the structure used below for all Compass products:

  • Facility updates: updates on any facility changes, including moving miners between locations, downtime or general information about one of Compass's partner facilities.

Facility Updates

Ohio 1: A new facility, Ohio 1 is expected to come online in early May after the arrival of containers. Redeployment and some delayed deployments are expected to come online at this site, pending review of allocations. Expect further information about this site in a blog announcement.

Minnesota 1: Continued expansion of Minnesota 1 is now underway, with units from redeployments expected to be hosted here, pending review.

Texas 3: Oklahoma 2 redeployments, MINI Bundle Unit 5 & 6, Lonestar Bundle 1 & 2, VIP Bundle, R-NA bundle units, M30S++ and S19j Pro singles are all slated to come online at Texas 3.

Over 700 machines were inspected, serviced or repaired last week during a facility wide push to address troubled units. Further service work continues on the site.

Please refer below for further updates on deployment by product type. Some delayed units may be sent to Ohio 1–please await futher information on this new site deployment.

Texas 4: We continue to work with the facility partner to address unit issues at Texas 4, particularly with S19 XPs.

Some S19 XPs–units offline, underhashing or needing second repairs–will be shipped to the Denver Service Center for inspection and resolution beginning Tuesday, April 18.

Unit servicing and repair will continue on-location for other units experiencing downtime, intermittent uptime, or underhashing.

Please continue to refer to our email communications on Texas 4 for the most up to date information. We also published a report on S19 XPs with further information on the repair issue.

Manitoba 1: The majority of units are now back online at various Manitoba locations. A remaining percentage of units are expected to come online this week or next in various locations in Manitoba. Please allow time for your dashboard to update to its new location.

South Carolina 2: Units are now offline and are prepping for servicing and shipment. We remain on schedule for redeployment in late April to early May.

Deployment Updates

Mini Bundle 1: Mini Bundle Unit 5 is 99% complete at Texas 3. Unit 6 deployment is 65% complete and will continue as containers are energized in Texas 3.

Mini Bundle 2: A subset of units are still waiting to come online at Texas 3.

LoneStar 1: Unit 6 is deployed. Please file a support ticket if your unit is not online.

LoneStar 2: Unit 5 is 97% deployed with the remaining 3% awaiting for the correct model type. Unit 6 is in queue for deployment following Mini Bundle 1 U6.

US-VIP: Units 10 is 96% deployed, and 11-12 will be deployed in Texas 3 once additional containers are energized.

RU-VIP: Unit 8 has been deployed in Texas 3. Unit 10 is now 70% deployed. Units 10-12 will be deployed in Texas 3 once additional containers are energized.

Next Generation Bundle and/or S19 XP Single Orders: Units are in queue for deployment in Texas 3. Please file a support request if you’d like to go online earlier at Ontario 1 or a Manitoba site with your Next Generation Bundle and/or S19 XP Single Order at a hosting rate of $0.079. We continue to wait on additional hosting capacity at Texas 3 to place these units online.

KA3: 98% deployed. We continue to work on an RMA process for units that arrived broken from the manufacturer.

L7: All units are deployed. Please file a support ticket if a unit is not online at this time.

Texas 4 S19j Pro 100: Batch is 80% deployed. Remaining units will be deployed once energized.

Ontario S19j Pro 100: Customers were assigned temps, worker names starting with "ttx". These units will hash to customers until their permanent unit is available. Email communications will be received for both the temp assignment and the permanent unit assignment.
